Got some old t-shirts, rolls of fabric or balls of wool lying around? Don’t let them go to waste. Upcycle them into a hand-made rug before the cold sets in to insulate your home, keep you a little bit warmer, and reduce your heating bills.
- Make a beautiful braided rug with fabric offcuts or old t-shirts;
- After something with a bit more texture? Use those old t-shirts to whip up a fun and funky shag rug;
- Work wonders with your old balls of wool and craft yourself a latch-hook rug.
Note: the denser the rug, the more insulation it provides.
